The American Job Center (AJC) is a consolidated effort to provide a variety of employment-related services under one roof.
Vermilion County Works, Department of Employment Security, Department of Rehabilitation Services, and several WDC partners’ services are available at the Center at 407 N. Franklin St. Danville, IL.

ADULT EDUCATION
Individuals
American Job Centers are designed to provide a full range of assistance to job seekers under one roof.
Established under the Workforce Investment Act, and reauthorized in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act of 2014, the centers offer training referrals, career counseling, job listings, and similar employment-related services.

- Resume assistance
- File for Unemployment Benefits
- Printing, copying and Faxing of work and training documents
- Access to all AJC partner programs
For Businesses
Employers will find a full complement of services from assistance in locating one employee with specific skills or help with a mass hiring, to resources for employee training. Applicants will be able to get help preparing a resume, locating specialized job training, and receiving career counseling.

The AJC has assistive technology and materials to accommodate a variety of disabilities. The center has a work station with screen reading and magnification software, an adjustable desk, adjustable chairs, and enhanced keyboard and mouse.
Illinois Relay is a free service that allows those who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, speech-disabled, or deaf-blind to place and receive calls to standard telephone users via a keyboard or assistive device. Illinois Relay offers additional relay numbers for people who want to use their voice or listen with their TTY and for people who are deaf-blind and use a tele-braille. Standard telephone and TTY users may also choose to use Illinois Relay’s traditional ten-digit number or the convenient three-digit number 711.
